SSVM Mettupalayam scripted history once again by clinching the Boys Overall Championship for the 15th consecutive year at the 46th Coimbatore Sahodaya Inter-District Athletic Meet, reaffirming its undisputed dominance in regional athletics.
Amidst 3,600 athletes from 119 schools, SSVM rose resplendent with an emphatic 135 points, setting New Meet Records and securing medals across age groups and disciplines, where speed met strength and discipline met distinction.
*Record-Breaking Feats*
“New Meet Records” (NMR) set by SSVM athletes, particularly in the Under-16 and Under-19 categories:
• Dhanush Adithya (Grade XII): Set a new benchmark in the Under-19 Boys 1500m race.
• Nivedh Krishna D (Grade X): Blazed a historic trail in the Under-16 Boys 200m sprint.
• Sandeesh Raja (Grade X): Soared to a record distance in the Under-16 Boys Triple Jump.
• Relay Success: The Under-16 Boys 4 × 400m relay team – comprising Magharanth P, Sandeesh Raja, Nivedh Krishna D, Immanuel Manassan W M, and Samrith K, clocked a record-breaking performance to claim gold.
