The Singapore International Scouts and Guides Jamboree
The Singapore International Scouts and Guides Jamboree, held from 17th to 25th November in Singapore, was an enriching and memorable experience for the 40 participating students from our institution. The event offered a vibrant blend of adventure, learning, cultural exchange, and community service. Students actively participated in various outdoor and skill-building activities such as archery tag, low element stations, raft building, rockwall climbing, zipline, Sarimbum trail biking, and a wilderness remote-controlled boat race, all of which enhanced their teamwork, endurance, and problem-solving abilities.
They also enjoyed the unique opportunity to trade Jamboree badges with participants from different countries, visited the scouting gallery, and learned about the life and contributions of the founder, Lord Baden-Powell.
The offsite visits to the Navy Museum, Singapore Discovery Centre, and the Singapore Maritime Gallery, along with the exciting Singapore Amazing Race, provided valuable educational exposure. The campfire night and cultural programmes celebrating various nations added colour and joy to the event, while the community service activity instilled a sense of responsibility and compassion.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our School Management for their continuous support, guidance, and encouragement, which played a vital role in fostering discipline, confidence, and devotion among the participants.
Overall, the Jamboree was a transformative experience that strengthened the students’ scouting spirit and broadened their global perspective.
