The Closing Ceremony of Sports Mahotsav 2025 was held with great enthusiasm and pride on 25 December 2025 at the Dr. B.M.K. Auditorium, SSVM Residential Campus, Mettupalayam. Organised under the national initiatives of Khelo India and Fit India, the event celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship, youth participation, and holistic development among students.
The programme reflected the visionary leadership and inspiration of Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, whose emphasis on fitness and youth empowerment continues to motivate young minds across the nation.
The ceremony was graced by Dr. L. Murugan, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India, as the Chief Guest. His presence added immense significance to the occasion.
The distinguished gathering also included eminent personalities such as Smt. P. T. Usha, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, President of the Indian Olympic Association, and legendary international track and field athlete, and Mr. G. V. Prakash Kumar, renowned music director, whose presence inspired students to pursue excellence beyond boundaries.
The event was held in the august presence of Dr. Manimekalai Mohan, Founder – SSVM Institutions, and Mr. S. Mohandoss, Trustee – SRISHA Educational and Charitable Trust, the governing body of SSVM Institutions.
A proud highlight of the ceremony was when Nashika, a Grade 11 student of SSVM Institutions, had the prestigious opportunity to interact with the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, marking a moment of inspiration and honour for the entire SSVM fraternity.
Adding to the celebrations, the SSVM VIDHAN Under-19 Girls Kabaddi Team showcased remarkable skill and determination by securing the Bronze Medal, bringing laurels to the institution.
The Closing Ceremony of Sports Mahotsav 2025 stood as a powerful testament to SSVM Institutions’ unwavering dedication to developing confident, disciplined, and responsible citizens, truly embodying the spirit of “Fit Youth for a Developed India.”
