The B.M.K. Jubilee Hall at SSVM™ was filled with energy on 5 December, as Grade 1 students presented the vibrant Sankofa Celebration. A Journey Reflecting on Roots to Make Dreams Take Shoots. The event, led by Dr. Manimekalai Mohan, and Mr. Mohandoss, Secretary, focused on family unity, gender equality, and healthy living through engaging performances.
The program featured beautiful songs like “The Family Song” and “The Earth Song,” a Sankofa-themed tribal dance, and an interactive Bone Dance that encouraged parent participation, adding fun and togetherness to the event.
Parents, touched by the important lessons shared during the celebration, praised Dr. Manimekalai Mohan’s vision and the creativity of the students. They appreciated the focus on family bonds, traditions, and growth, making it a memorable experience.
The event ended with a sincere vote of thanks, recognizing the hard work of the management, teachers, and parents, leaving everyone feeling inspired and happy.
